The Buckeye Institution-Supported Agriculture (ISA) Project at The Ohio State University was funded by a $750,000 grant from the W.K. Kellogg Foundation (WKKF) to Dr. Casey Hoy, WK Kellogg Endowed Chair in Agricultural Ecosystem Management and Faculty Director of the Initiative for Food and AgriCultural Transformation, InFACT. This program, founded in 2017, sought to create a network of over 100 low-income households with young children, particularly in communities of color, that grow their own food and sell surplus produce to Ohio State and other outlets.
