Editorial: At the start of this new volume of the Australasian Journal onAgeing (AJA), I wonder how we can better our last 12months: 2013 was all good news: increasing impact factor(now at 0.94), increasing submissions (up 29% from 2012), and a Special Issue to celebrate 30 years in publication. There are a couple of important pieces of work for 2014, though: raising the profile of AJA nationally and internationally, and reducing our backlog
