Desarrollo de las vacunas contra el SARS-COV 2. ¿Otro conflicto mundial?

The pandemic generated by SARS-COV2 affects all of humanity, the efforts of governments to curb the new coronavirus characterize the world scenario. One year after its discovery, all hopes fall on find the definitive solution to this pandemic through a vaccine that can put a stop to the excessive growth of infections and deaths, achieve immunization of the population in general and thus resume the path of economic and social development abruptly stopped by the pandemic. In this article, the authors make a brief allusion to the treatment currently given to possible vaccines against COVID-19, their impact as well as the role of powers involved. It reflects on how the struggle for drug supremacy could turn into a conflict between nations. It also highlights the approach that the media have given to the phenomenon and how, as a result of a sometimes a discrediting campaign, towards one or another drug, leads to the existence of a certain skepticism from the population towards the vaccination campaign against the disease.La pandemia generada por el SARS-COV 2 afecta a toda la humanidad; los esfuerzos de los gobiernos por frenar el nuevo coronavirus caracterizan el escenario mundial. A un año de su descubrimiento, todas las esperanzas recaen en encontrar la solución definitiva a esta enfermedad a través de una vacuna que logre frenar el crecimiento desmedido de contagios y de muertes, lograr inmunizar la población en general y así retomar el camino del desarrollo económico y social detenido bruscamente por esta situación epidemiológica. En el presente artículo, el autor aborda, en apretada síntesis, el tratamiento dado en la actualidad a las posibles vacunas contra la Covid-19, su repercusión así como el papel de las potencias implicadas. Se reflexiona sobre cómo la lucha por alcanzar la supremacía del fármaco pudiera convertirse en un conflicto entre naciones. Se destaca, además, el tratamiento que los medios han dado al fenómeno y cómo, debido a una campaña de descrédito a veces hacia uno u otro medicamento, existe cierto escepticismo por parte de los ciudadanos hacia la vacunación contra la enfermedad
