Feminism is a movement that seeks to bring to light various issues of women’s social life. The profound effects of this movement or ideology on literature can be felt. From Sir Syed Ahmad Khan to Allama Rashid Al-Khairi most of the women’s domestic education, weak faith and veil issues were discussed under the influence of feminism, women have also presented creations with such skills that their social and cultural attitudes have come to the fore. Female Writers have sadly portrayed the supremacy and exploitation of masculine society through the eyes of a woman. They also raised social awareness among women by exposing the social and cultural characteristics of the country. They valued women in their own way in the context of social status. These women demanded education and freedom for themselves and raised their voices against the injustices done to women in the society. Their writing also shows feminine resistance and protest alone with cultural decline, the breakdown of values, the problems of domestic and marital life. Ada Jafri, Kishwar Naheed, Fahmida Riaz, Parveen Shakir, Noshi Gilani, Humaira Rehman have feminine expression. In their poetry women’s emotions, depiction of social conditions and their psychological response is a new experience in Urdu literature.
