La participación ciudadana en la constitución del Ecuador

The relationship between citizen participation and democracy in the context of the Constitution is analyzed. Then, citizen participation as a constitutional right is investigated. On the other hand, the constitutional guarantees are analyzed, their relationship and importance for the exercise of rights in general and in particular those of citizen participation. Reference is also made to the mechanisms of participation and the aspects to be taken into account for their implementation. Descriptive documentary type. As a result, the theoretical aspects are synthesized, as well as some elements to understand the relationship between citizenship, State and democracy and which are the limitations for effective participation. Finally, it discusses the importance of promoting participation from the citizenship, for its real empowerment and not only from the institutionalism of the State.Se analiza la relación entre la participación ciudadana y la democracia en el contexto de la Constitución. Para luego indagar sobre la participación ciudadana como un derecho constitucional. Por otro lado, se analizan las garantías constitucionales, su relación e importancia para el ejercicio de los derechos en general y en particular los de participación ciudadana. Así también se hace referencia a los mecanismos de participación y los aspectos a tener en cuenta para su implementación. De tipo documental descriptiva. Como resultado se sintetizan los aspectos teóricos, algunos elementos para entender la relación entre ciudadanía, Estado y democracia y cuáles son los limitantes para la una efectiva participación.
