Objective: To check the changes in university students’ lives one year after university admission and their relationship to risk factors for non-communicable diseases. Methods: Cross-sectional study carried out in 2015 with 47 university students in Ituiutaba, Minas Gerais, Brazil. A semi-structured and self-administered questionnaire was used to address sociodemographic data, life habits, clinical aspects of diabetes mellitus, systemic high blood pressure, obesity and quality of sleep.
