RIVER PINANG TOURISM PROSPECT BASED ON LOCAL ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND COMMUNITY ECONOMY BY : YOEL EWIL M. TAMPUBOLON NPM : 155111124 (Under Guidance: Supervisor Drs. M. Nur. MM) ABSTRACT This study was conducted to determine the prospects of tourism in Sungai Pinang Village in fostering local economic development and community economics and to determine the supporting factors of tourism in Sungai Pinang Village in fostering local economic development and community economics. In analyzing the data used descriptive analysis and quantitative analysis. The types and sources of data used are primary data and secondary data obtained through interviews and research questionnaires. Based on the results of the research that has been done, the authors can conclude that after calculating the total score of the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of developing tourism objects in Sungai Pinang Village. Where the total strength is 3.2, the total weakness is 0.22, the total opportunity is 2.15 and the total threat is 0.1. This shows that the strength and opportunity factors contained in the development of tourism objects in Sungai Pinang Village have a major influence on the business being run, while the weaknesses and threats factors affect the business, but the effect is not comprehensive. After being evaluated using the SWOT matrix, it can be seen that the development of tourism objects in Sungai Pinang Village is in quadrant I with coordinates (2.98: 2.05). In this quadrant, it can be seen that business actors are in an advanced stage of development because of the opportunities and strengths that greatly influence this business despite the threats and weaknesses that always exist in this business. The strategy used to develop tourism objects in Sungai Pinang Village in quadrant I is the Growth Oriented Strategy, where in this strategy business actors are expected to be able to maintain business conditions that have begun to develop
