Strategi Badan Penanggulangan Bencana Daerah Dalam Menanggulangi Masalah Kebakaran Lahan Di Kota Pekanbaru

The Regional Disaster Management Agency is an organization of regional apparaturs within the Pekanbaru City government which carries out government affairs in the field of peace and public order, sub-disaster management affairs in Pekanbaru City and other monitoring tasks. The strategy of the Regional Disaster Management Agency in tackling the problem of profit fires in Pekanbaru City is still not optimal. This can be seen from the phenomenaa contained in the strategy, namely the lack of disaster education to the community so that there are still burned lands and the weak strengthening of the early reinforcement system carried out by BPBD. This study aims to determine the strategy of the Regional Disaster Management Agency in tackling the problem of land fires in Pekanbaru City and the factors causing it. The method used in this research is discriptive quantitative method. The population and samples in this study were the head of the Prevention and Preparedness Divison, the head of the Emergency and Logistics Division, the head of tje Rehabilitation and Recontructions Division, memebers of the BPBD Task Force and the Community. The measurement technique used is a Likert Scale by assigning a score to each measurement indicator. The type of data used is primary data obtained from the results of research activities from respondents, while secondary data is in the form of books, or official government documentation obtained from the Office of the Regional Disaster Management Agency. For data collection, researches used questionnaires, interviews, observation and documentation From the results of the research that has been carried out, the researches assessed and concluded that regarding the strategy of the Regional Disaster Management Agency in tackling the problem of land fires in Pekanbaru City, it was said to be well implemented, although there are still strategies that are not fully implemented. Overall BPBD had done its job optimally, but returned to the people who still like to manage land by burning. This causes land fires to occur frequently every year
