IMPLEMENTATION OF THE STRATEGY OF THE REGIONAL DISASTER MANAGEMENT AGENCY OF MERANTI ISLAND REGENCY IN FOREST AND LAND FIRE MANAGEMENT ABSTRACT Ade Suprialdi This research was conducted with the aim of knowing the Implementation of the Strategy of the Regional Disaster Management Agency of Meranti Islands Regency in Handling Forest and Land Fires. This research was conducted by using indicators of implementation, monitoring and supervision. The measurement technique used is the Likert scale, which gives a score for each category. This type of research uses descriptive quantitative methods. The population and samples in this study were the Head of the Regional Disaster Management Agency of Meranti Islands Regency, the Head of the Fire Department, BPBD Employees and Honorary Officers, and the Fire Care Community (MPA), then the sampling technique for the head of the BPBD service and the head of the fire department was carried out. census technique, for employees and honorary BPBD using purposive sampling technique, while for people concerned about fire (MPA) using accidental sampling technique. The types and sources of data used are primary data obtained directly from interviews and observations from BPBD employees and honorariums and the Fire Care Community (MPA) while secondary data in the form of books, documentation, BPBD strategic plan, data on the number of hotspots in Meranti Islands Regency . Data collection techniques used consisted of questionnaires, interviews, observation and documentation. Based on the results of research that has been carried out by researchers regarding the Strategy Implementation of the Regional Disaster Management Agency of Meranti Islands Regency in Handling Forest and Land Fires, it is in Sufficiently Implemented. This is due to the inadequate budget in handling forest and land fires and the lack of training for employees and honorary staff of the Regional Disaster Management Agency of Meranti Islands Regency
