The species were evaluated for productivity and persistance as potential pasture plants, with accessions being rated on performance at the various sites under natural rainfall conditions. An assessment of 64 genera and 331 species is tabulated, following initial testing by the CSIRO Division of Plant Industry and the Department of Agriculture in Western Australia
