What does it mean to be part of fandom? What are the implications of being part of one in Latin America, in this new decade of the 21st century? To answer these questions, in this article we analyze the characteristics of a particular fandom: the one formed by Harry Potter fans in Argentina. More than twenty years after the publication of the first book in this British series, we are interested in how the local fan thinks and “constructs” him/herself, not only in their singularity but also as part of a community.
