Intermediate debonding phenomenon is one of the most common and peculiar failure modes observed in RC beams externally strengthened by FRP. The relevant code provisions are sometimes simplistic, based on numerical regressions of few experimental data, while in some other cases they consists in cumbersome procedures that are neither easy to apply nor completely consistent. The present paper is basically aimed at quantifying and comparing the effectiveness of a couple of simplified formulations involving the basic parameters playing a role in intermediate debonding failure
