By using a pulsed dye laser, a detailed Raman excitation profile for the ν1(A1) mode of CrO42- in aqueous solution was measured throughout the 1T2 - 1A1, transition at 372 nm. The Raman profile showed a shoulder around 384 nm which was tentatively assigned to a vibronic structure. © 1984
