In dieser Arbeit wurde anhand einer etablierten Podozytenzelllinie in vitro die Beteiligung des Apoptose-induzierenden Faktors (AIF) am podozytären Zelltod näher untersucht. Hierzu wurde ein Modell genutzt, bei dem durch die drei verschiedenen Zellstressoren Adriamycin, Pamidronat und Puromycin-Aminonukleosid eine Signalkaskade eingeleitet wurde, die letztendlich im Zelltod endet. Diese Signalkaskade wurde zu verschiedenen Zeitpunkten auf Proteinebene untersucht. Hierbei zeigte sich keine vordergründige Rolle von AIF, welcher laut Literatur eine Form des nicht- apototischen Zelltods einleitet.
