This quasi experimental research aimed to find out the effectiveness of cooperative learning of think talk write type in terms of mathematical communication skill. The population of this research was all students of grade eight in Junior High School of 20 Bandarlampung in academic year of 2016/2017 that were distributed into fourteen classes. The sample of this research was students of VIII-K and VIII-M class that was chosen by purposive sampling technique. This research used pretestposttest control group design.
