Efektivitas Pendidikan Kesehatan Dengan Media Audiovisual Dan Leaflet Terhadap Pengetahuan Sikap Dan Praktik Persiapan Dan Perawatan Persalinan Pada Ibu Ibu Hamil Trimester III Di Puskesmas Widodaren Ngawi

The success of maintaining maternal health during pregnancy, childbirth and the puerperium is one indicator of the value of public health in general, one of the influencing factors is the Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR). The MMR is still high in East Java province with the most common cause being childbirth bleeding, so it is necessary to take action to help reduce it, one of which is health education to increase knowledge which will affect the attitudes and practices of mothers in preparing for childbirth and their care. The purpose of the study was to determine the effectiveness of audiovisual media and leaflets on the knowledge, attitudes, and practices of third trimester pregnant women regarding preparation and care for childbirth at the Widodaren Health Center. This type of research is a quasi-experimental design with Nonequivalent Control Group pretest posttest design. The research sample was 32 pregnant women in the third trimester with a total sampling technique which was divided into two groups, 16 audiovisual groups and 16 leaflet groups. The research instrument used a knowledge, attitude, and practice questionnaire. The results showed that the Wilcoxon statistical test and the Mann Whitney test of knowledge had p value = 0.005, attitude with p value = 0.001, and practice p value = 0.000. Thus, this study proves that health education using audiovisual media is more effective in increasing knowledge, attitudes, and practices regarding childbirth preparation and care
