International audienceMultidisciplinary approach of the recent Mousterian site of the Route de Jaunour in Boulazac Isle Manoire (Dordogne, France): first results and questions. The preventive archaeological excavation at the Route de Jaunour site (Boulazac Isle Manoire), revealed new evidence of the Late Middle Palaeolithic human settlement in the Isle Valley. The site, excavated on a surface of 1000 m², is located at the base of a chalky plateau overlooking the Isle Valley. The layer of archaeological artifacts is part of a gravelly unit interpreted as a residual paving truncating the top of an argillic horizon.
