It includes the dynamics and evaluation the effectiveness of innovative processes of the Southern region of Ukraine in 2010-2014, as well as analysis of the sales volumes of scientific and technological work, and the sources of their funding. The paper describes the ways for improving the efficiency of innovative activity in the region, which based on the results of the innovation potential of enterprises in 2010-2014
