The role of Diplomacy in promoting Uzbekistan’s country image in international arena

Ekonomiskā diplomātija tiek uztverta un pretstatīta kā sava veida iejaukšanās brīvajā tirdzniecībā pasaulē globalizācijas apstākļos, turklāt tā tiek īstenota lielākajā daļā attīstīto valstu kā neatņemama ārpolitikas sastāvdaļa, kuras aizstāv brīvo tirgus principus. Darbā tiek analizētas izmaiņas Uzbekistānas ekonomiskajā diplomātijā pēc prezidenta Šavkata Mirzijojeva ievēlēšanas, kā arī tās ietekmi uz valsts tēlu starptautiskajā arēnā. Bakalaura darba rezultāti norāda, ka Uzbekistānai īsā laikā ir izdevies ieņemt izdevīgu diplomātisko stāvokli, pateicoties jaunai un drosmīgai valsts politikas maiņai. Bakalaura darbs sastāv no 3 nodaļām. 1.nodaļā ir izklāstītas galvenās definīcijas un koncepcijas par diplomātiju, īpaši akcentējot ekonomisko diplomātiju, kā arī skaidrotas jaunās tendences digitālajā diplomātijā, kas radās, attīstoties internetam XXI gadsimtā. 2.nodaļā ir analizētas galvenās atšķirības īstenotajā ekonomiskajā diplomātijā Uzbekistānā divu pēdējo prezidentu ievēlēšanas termiņa laikā, kā arī ir raksturota pašreizējā ekonomiskā situācija. 3.nodaļā ir ietvertas intervijas ar 2 dalībniekiem ar pieredzi ekonomiskajā diplomātijā un rezultātu interpretācija.Economic diplomacy is perceived and contrasted as a kind of interference with free trade in a globalizing world, in most developed countries that defend the free market, it is carried out within the framework of the state mechanism. The thesis analyzes the changes in Uzbekistan's economic diplomacy after the election of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and its influence on the image of the country in international arena. Judging by the results of the thesis, it is noted that Uzbekistan managed to take an advantageous diplomatic position in a short time, based on the situation analysis of the accepted doctrinal documents and the first diplomatic steps of the new president. The bachelor thesis consists of 3 chapters. The first chapter covers the main definitions and concepts of diplomacy and economic diplomacy, also touching new phenomenon that emerged with the development of the internet in XXI century digital diplomacy. Current economic situation and comparisons with the period of previous president and diplomacy ecosystem are given in the second chapter. Third, the empirical part includes qualitative research, interviews with 2 participants with different backgrounds an interpretation of results
