The paper considers the ongoing work on forecasting mudflow hazardous zones in the Republic of Uzbekistan and forecasting methods in Tajikistan, as well as the Russian Federation. Proposals have been developed for new scientific approaches to the forecasting system for mudflow hazardous areas. In the final part, new scientific approaches to forecasting methods for mudflow hazardous zones in the Republic of Uzbekistan are proposed
