ANALISIS MORALITAS TOKOH RARAS DALAM NOVEL TABULA RASA KARYA RATIH KUMALA (PENDEKATAN SOSIOLOGI SASTRA)

Moral problems in life often become a very disturbing situation from the perspective of the community itself if there is no control of attitudes and interactions from within each individual. The moral attitude of the Raras character is in accordance with the norms, giving rise to various moral attitudes that occur in his life and the morality of the Raras character is related from a religious perspective, namely his relationship with God, with society and the social environment. The purpose of this study is to (1) determine the form of morality of the character Raras in the novel Tabula Rasa by Ratih Kumala, (2) find out what factors are the causes of the emergence of the morality of the character Raras in the novel Tabula Rasa by Ratih Kumala, (3) Know the techniques for depicting the morality of the character Raras in the novel Tabula Rasa by Ratih Kumala. The results of the research on the Morality Analysis of the Raras character in the Tabula Rasa Novel by Ratih Kumala found seven aspects that show the form of morality (1) the spirit of discipline of the character Raras is described by his efforts to try to control himself and protect Raras (2) Raras becomes attached to the sphere of life that is not right by having same-sex attraction (3) Raras violated her nature as a woman by choosing her fate in life not to love men (4) the social contact that occurred between Raras and Galih did not change Raras' stance and continued to focus only on Violet (5) What happened was how Raras tried to distance herself from her father to avoid the problem, then Raras also distanced herself from Violet when there was a man who loved and cared about Violet, Violet's addiction to forbidden items made Raras react to distance Violet from her surroundings. which has a bad influence on V iolet and with every effort tried to resuscitate Violet who was unconscious, and at the time of her death Violet was more and more stretched Raras to know men because she had lost her life's inspirational figure (6) the depiction shown through Raras' character who is a thinker, such as her actions who always thinks of ways to continue to protect Violet from using prohibited items and because of her thinking nature, Raras often spends time at night contemplating and being alone (7) Raras' character is indirectly self-reliant through various activities, both verbal and nonverbal, through actions. , the behavior and events shown in Raras' conversations and activities with the people in her house, namely her father, mother, Yu Marsini and her brother Rembang, as well as the self-portrait of Raras who still looks like other normal women, and still remembers God. for M feel peace even though he is someone who likes the same sex. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that (1) Because of his love for Violet, Raras always protects Violet and tries to give advice from constantly using prohibited items and tries to always be by Violet's side. When Violet died, it was Raras who couldn't be herself because of Violet who had been her spirit, thus making Raras still tend to her love for Violet even though there were men who liked her (2) When Galih tried to enter Raras' life, Raras feels that he has betrayed his love for Violet, so he confesses to Galih that he cannot accept Galih's love other than Violet. Raras continues to shy away from her father who tries to marry Raras, and Violet's death makes it more difficult for Raras to get to know men because she has lost her life's inspiration (3). but sometimes Raras still remembers God to feel peace even though he is someone who likes the same sex
