Trianon treaty - still alive?

The main aim of this thesis is an analytical view on Slovak-Hungarian relations between 1989 - 2010 with a particular focus on the Treaty of Trianon reminiscence present at the political scene of both countries. The thesis illustrates the Slovak- Hungarian relations on both - interstate and intrastate niveau. In particular, the thesis focuses on controversial issues occurring at Slovakia's and Hungary's political scene that induced immense discrepancies accompanied by revisionist tendencies. The thesis structure consists of five chronologically - ordered main chapters. Each chapter is dedicated to certain time period analysis. The chapter named "The Treaty of Trianon" provides us with historical keystone. The following chapters are dealing with most recent relevant affairs being resposible for creating the qualitative niveau of Slovak-Hungarian relations between 1989 - 2010. The political processes in the Slovak-Hungarian political field recapitulation alongside with the evaluation of the up-to-date presence the Treaty of Trianon reminiscence are to be handled with in the conclusice chapter of this thesis
