The incidence of colorectal cancer in Lithuania is gradually increasing. More than 1,600 cases of colorectal cancer are diagnosed each year. In Lithuania, colon cancer is the third most common oncological disease and the second most common in terms of mortality. The highest incidence of colorectal cancer is recorded in individuals over 50 years of age (National Cancer Institute, 2019)
