The article discusses Klaipėda Catholic Church choirs’ choral tradition. It is a relatively new Catholic tradition which is still being formed, because until the World War II this Lithuanian town belonged to Germany, where the Lutheran Church was dominant. Due to globalization a new choral tradition of Klaipėda Catholics faced certain distinctive and common challenges as all the other Lithuanian churches. Referring to the experience of Klaipėda Marijos Taikos Karalienės (Mary the Queen of Peace) church organist and composer G. Purlys, perspective ways of solving the problems have been pointed out
