This article aims to investigate the teaching of philosophy in the context of Law No. 13,415/17 and the Common National Curriculum Base (BNCC), especially the neoliberal conception it carries, which is expressed by the ideology of competence. This article firstly outlines a brief history of the legal decisions that interfered with the curricular status of philosophy since the Military Dictatorship, then analyzes the BNCC and its way of organizing that comes from the idea of competencies, and finally what is left to the teaching of philosophy in this scenario.
