Procesos creativos artísticos y los estudios culturales

This article analyzes how cultural studies, a field that claims to be interested in all cultural expressions, has partially dealt with artistic creative processes. We start by reviewing the relationship between both fields, and then examine the fields separately, highlighting the aspects that have hindered a possible fruitful relationship: Within cultural studies, we note the presence of disciplinary and methodological issues; within the artistic field, we see an emphasis on restricting almost all external influence to its norms. Acknowledging these situations has constructive intentions: by overcoming misunderstandings, it is much more likely that the closeness of the social sciences to creative processes and to the production of new and diverse knowledge could increase.En este artículo se busca analizar cómo los estudios culturales, un campo de investigación que afirma interesarse por toda expresión cultural, ha tratado de forma parcial los procesos creativos artísticos. Se parte de revisar la relación entre ambos campos, para después observarlos por separado y destacar los aspectos que han obstaculizado una posible relación fructífera. De los estudios culturales, se hacen notar cuestiones disciplinarias y metodológicas; de los procesos artísticos, se subraya su tendencia a restringir casi todo influjo externo a sus normas. El reconocimiento de esta situación tiene intenciones constructivas: se reconoce que, al superar los desencuentros, pueden manifestarse grandes posibilidades de aumentar la cercanía de los estudios culturales a los procesos creativos y a la producción de conocimiento nuevo y diverso
