Analisis Kesalahan Berbahasa Dalam Editorial Surat Kabar Tribun Pekanbaru

Language plays an important role in interacting with others. Without the language of interaction it would not be possible to run well. The use of language does not escape from mistakes both oral and written. In the editorial of the Tribune Pekanbaru newspaper there are still errors in the syntactic language level, namely the fields of phrases and sentences, thus encouraging the writer to examine the syntactical level errors. The problem in this research is how is the error of language in the phrase field in the editorial of the Tribune Pekanbaru newspaper ?, and how is the language error in the sentence field in the editorial of the Pekanbaru Tribun newspaper? The purpose of this research is to know, describe and analyze language errors in the fields of phrases and sentences in the editorial of the Tribune Pekanbaru newspaper. The theory used is the theory put forward by Setyawati (2010) and Roziah (2014). The method I use is Content Analysis. Data collection techniques using hermeneutic techniques, and documentation. The results of data processing, there are known to be syntactic language errors in the editorial of the Tribune Pekanbaru newspaper. Based on data analysis, errors in the field of phrases found as many as 4 errors include the use of improper prepositions, the use of excessive elements or redundant, and incorrect wording. Mistakes in the sentence field were found as many as 35 errors including errors in the use of foreign terms, use of sentence confusion, excessive conjunction and the use of unnecessary question words
