Não mexa, não toque nesse meu cabelo: o cabelo como elemento de identidade

This Course Completion Paper - TCC was developed within the scope of the Pedagogy Course at UFAM/IEAA, whose objective was to analyze the formative discourses of students in the Pedagogy Course on identity construction based on hair in its identity aspect. The questions considered here are related to the physical and identity traits of the subjects who self-identified blacks in the research, in an attempt to understand whether these subjects in their school, social and university life somehow suffered some kind of racism and/or discrimination due to of your hair type under the bias of coloniality. The subjects chosen to be part of this research were academics from the IEAA of the Pedagogy course, both male and female, who agreed to participate by narrating their identities. The analysis of the narratives of each student sought to show related aspects of how the black subject is seen in society and how he/she deals with prejudice around their identity. Regarding the research method, we chose to use a qualitative approach in education, with an emphasis on interview techniques aiming at the narratives of each subject, the data were captured by audio via WhatsApp application, later transcribed. The theoretical framework highlighted in the elaboration of this TCC is anchored in the ideas of Gomes (2002); Hall (1992.); Santana (2014); Angels (2017); Carvalho (2015) and Coutinho (2011), who accompanied us in this research and who articulate with the theoretical field of post prefix (post-critical, post-structuralist, Cultural Studies, Race Studies, Culture(s), among others). The results point to the colonialist discourses produced by the subjects, including in school spaces, discourses that are loaded with stereotypes and racism that discriminate, segregate and undermine black identity, whether in its physical (appearance, hair, etc.) or subjective aspects (identity, race).O presente Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso - TCC foi desenvolvido no âmbito do Curso de Pedagogia da UFAM/IEAA, cujo objetivo foi analisar os discursos formativos dos estudantes do Curso de Pedagogia sobre a construção identitária a partir do cabelo em seu aspecto de identidade. As questões aqui pensadas estão relacionadas aos traços físicos e identitários dos sujeitos que se auto identificaram negros na pesquisa, na tentativa de perceber se estes sujeitos em sua vida escolar, social e universitária sofreram de alguma forma algum tipo de racismo e/ou discriminação em função do seu tipo de cabelo sob o viés da colonialidade. Os sujeitos escolhidos para fazerem parte desta pesquisa foram acadêmicos do IEAA do curso de Pedagogia, tanto do sexo masculino, quanto feminino, que aceitaram participar narrando suas identidades. A análise das narrativas de cada discente buscou mostrar aspectos relacionados de como o sujeito negro é visto na sociedade e como este lida com o preconceito em torno de sua identidade. Em relação ao método de pesquisa optou-se na utilização da abordagem qualitativa em educação, com ênfase nas técnicas da entrevista visando as narrativas de cada sujeito, os dados foram captados por áudio via aplicativo WhatsApp, posteriormente transcritos. O referencial teórico destacado na elaboração deste TCC está ancorado nas ideias de Gomes (2002); Hall (1992.); Santana (2014); Anjos (2017); Carvalho (2015) e Coutinho (2011), que nos acompanharam nesta pesquisa e que se articulam ao campo teórico de prefixo pós (pós-crítico, pós-estruturalista, Estudos Culturais, Estudos de Raça, Cultura(s), entre outros). Os resultados apontam para os discursos colonialistas que produzem os sujeitos, inclusive nos espaços escolares, discursos estes carregados de estereótipos e racismo que discriminam, segregam e inferiorizam a identidade negra, seja em seus aspectos físicos (aparência, cabelo, etc.) ou subjetivo (identidade, raça).5Si
