My research focuses on the protection of cultural heritage in Hungary and in Great Britain. The protection of cultural heritages means the safeguarding of roots and traditions of a given cummunity. Every community and every state have to protect, preserve and hand these values for the futher genertions. Since both countries are European states and members of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), which is the leading international organization in the field of the protection of cultural heritage, I introduce the main role of the European Union and the UNESCO in the process of protection.
