Purpose: In order to improve the survival of patients with a glioblastoma multiforme tumor (GBM), new therapeutic strategies must be developed. The use of a death inducing ligand such as TRAIL (TNF Related Apoptosis Inducing Ligand) seems a promising innovative therapy.
