No abstract The following article presents and examines two publications that appeared in Thessaloniki during the Ottoman domination. The first Greek printing establishment was founded in Thessaloniki in 1850. Through the publishing activity that ensued one can research the educational, social and literary activity of the time and contribute to the understanding of Greek cultural life in Thessaloniki. The publications presented here, have not been catalogued in the bibliographies published to date.
