The article focuses on the issue of diversity management used to overcome the stereotypes and prejudices concerning workers in the pre-retirement age. The authors present mechanisms underlying the creation of stereotypes about older workers’ efficiency. The content of stereotypes was compared with results of research concerning the effectiveness of employees of different ages.
