Zróżnicowane dawki CaCO₃ lub MgCO₃ oraz dawka nawozu składająca się z 2/3 dawki CaCO₃ + 1/3 dawki MgCO₃, która odpowiadała podwójnej kwasowości hydrolitycznej, prowadziły do istotnych zmian stopnia zakwaszenia gleby. Jest to wyrażone wartością pH oznaczoną w 1 mol KCl·dm⁻³ w próbkach glebowych po zakończonym okresie wegetacyjnym roślin. Wielkość dawki poszczególnych nawozów CaCOs i MgCO₃, wpływających na zmianę stopnia zakwaszenia gleby, oraz zastosowana dawka litu w ilości 2,5 mg·kg⁻¹ gleby w postaci soli LiCl, w różnym stopniu wpływały na wielkość uzyskanego plonu roślin tytoniu.
