The present study aimed at determining the effect of liming and magnesium treatment on harmfulness of Sitona sp. for broad bean plants growing in conditions of soil contaminated with single heavy metals on the III level of pollution in the IUNG, Puławy, PL classiflcation. The observations were conducted on broad bean (Vicia faba L. ssp. maior), White Windsor c.v. cultivated in three series: 1. in limed soil; 2. in soil receiving magnesium treatment; 3. in non-limed soil and in soil without magnesium.
