The subject matter comprises problems concerning employees’ liability for maintenance of order described in chapter VI of title IV of the Labour code. The article is focused on the changes to which for many years, from the enactment of the Labour code, the aforementioned institution of labour law was subjected. The author discusses the legal character of the regulations concerning that type of liability and premises enabling the employer to charge towards the employee a penalty of admonition, a penalty of serious reprimand and a pecuniary penalty, and focuses primarily on the issues of illegality of employee’s behaviour.
