Przedstawiono przegląd podstawowych metod śledzenia punktu mocy maksymalnej w systemach fotowoltaicznych, tj.: metody pośrednie oraz bezpośrednie. Zagadnienie to jest bardzo ważne w nowoczesnych systemach fotowoltaicznych, ponieważ pozwala ono na zoptymalizowanie uzysku energii przy danych parametrach wejściowych (napromieniowanie, warunki pogodowe, temperatura itp.). Pokazano sposób działania poszczególnych algorytmów, a dla wybranych podano wzory opisujące ich działanie.
