International audienceIconic or linguistic representations of catastrophes are multiplying nowadays. They present themselves as emblematic figures of an obsession with collapse and refer to the feeling of increased vulnerability of the planet. The causes of the disasters depicted may be partly "natural" and partly "artificial", since it is difficult today to make a clear distinction between these categories.
