Viola x palmata, native to the eastern USA and Canada, was found in the inner city Vienna as escaped from cultivation in the autumn of 2010. This is the first published record from Europe; however, a specimen collected in Bremen (Germany) in 1840 was discovered at W.Viola x palmata, původem z východního pobřeží USA a Kanady, byla na podzim roku 2011 nalezena zplanělá v centru Vídně. Je to první nález tohoto druhu v Evropě; v herbáři W se však nachází sběr z Brém (Německo) z roku 1840
