Taxonomy - Order: Violales; Family: Violaceae; Genus: Viola L.; Species: Viola pedata L. Collected from hills in Winona, Winona County, Minnesota, on May 31, 1899. This botanical specimen was collected and included in Helen J. Monahan\u27s final project for a Botany course in 1899 taught by John M. Holzinger at the Winona Normal School in Winona, Minnesota.
