He was president of the Medical Council (1879 - 1882) and took initiative in establishing the Alexander's Hospital in Sofia. He was a founder of the Bulgarian Red Cross (1883) and deputy chief medical officer of the Bulgarian Army (1884 - 1887). He also was the founder (1901) and first president of the Bulgarian Medical Association. Mollov became a political figure, deputy, and Minister of Education (1883 - 1884).
