The estimation of quality of life of people having physical disabilities

Problematical question: how do people who have certain physical disabilities estimate their own life quality. The aim of this thesis: to estimate the quality of life of people having physical disabilities. Goal of the analysis: 1. To determine general quality of life of people having disabilities in the aspect of gender. 2. To estimate general quality of life of people having disabilities in the aspect of education. 3. To reveal general quality of life of people having disabilities in the aspect of financial position. The method of research – anonymous questionnaire survey in written form; object – the estimation of quality of life of physical disabled people. The choice of the object of this survey was caused by such variables as estimation of general quality of life of disabled people in the aspect of gender, education and financial position. Anonymous questionnaire survey of people who have physical disabilities was done in the period of February - March in 2011. In this survey 85 people having ailment and disability took part (52.9 percent of them were women). The assessment of the disabled persons in general, the quality of life by gender, we found that among men and women's quality of life indicators were not significantly different. Joint psychological quality of life for women the figures were better than men. This reflects a less negative feelings feeling, a better sense of their value. However, the men evaluated their appearance more than women and were sexually active. The assessment of the disabled persons in general, men's and women's quality of life by education, we found that the best indicators of quality of life among people with different background to the higher educated group of people. This had the effect of physical security, external security environment, the natural rate, and increased participation in recreation and leisure activities of daily living and dating. The worst performance was with incomplete secondary and secondary level research. This had little impact on physical security, external security environment, the natural rate, low everyday activity, sleep and relaxation rate. The assessment of the disabled persons in general, men's and women's quality of life in financial terms, we found that the best quality of life indicators between the different salary earners were at the research, which earns more than 1001 lt.
