Factors that determine the success of a sporting event

Events are increasingly geared to the core goal of maximizing the needs of potential customers, raising awareness and achieving a competitive edge. The bigger the choice, the more user-friendly, and the organizers are forced to take measures that will bring mutual benefits to both them and potential users. The object of study - factors determining the success of sporting events. The aim of study - determine the determinants of the success of a sporting event. The objectives of the study: 1. Identify the concept of successful sporting events. 2. To highlight the factors that determine the success of sporting events. 3. Assess the level of success of the factors that determine the success of sporting events. 4. To reveal the main aspects of the success of events organized by the Lithuanian Students' Association. Study method - Qualitative research, standardized (structured) interview with organizers of sporting events was chosen for the evaluation and comparison of factors determining the success of sporting events in the Lithuanian Student Sports Association. Conclusions are formulated in the work: 1. Everyone perceives the concept of success differently, usually his perception depends on his own personal experience. Sports events are also no exception. Whether they have been successful in evaluating their experience and achieving their goals, sports event organizers have achieved their goals if they evaluate their event as a success. 2. After the analysis of the literature, five main factors determining the success of the sight can be distinguished: economic, demographic, attractiveness, social and environmental. These are factors that sports event organizers need to take into account in order to make their sporting events as successful as possible. 3. It can be seen that the factors dominated by the studies are the same as the most influential sports events, i.e. economic, social, and demographic, however, it is clear from the scientific literature that many studies have been conducted on the basis of a consumer's perception of what affects the success of the events and why they are choosing to support one or another team and what kind of event they want to participate in, but few studies deal with the very sport the opinion of the event organizers and the actions which they claim contribute to the success of their own events. 4. The study shows that a sport event can only be successful if all these factors, i.e. Economic, social, demographic and attraction factors are given sufficient attention. It is also important to mention that the organizers of events themselves achieve their goals according to their own capabilities and evaluate the event successfully when all these goals are realized
