Role of the Utilization of Vacant Houses and the Consciousness of Residents in Population Decline Areas -Case study of Higashisonogi town, Hasami town, and Ojika town

The purpose of this study is to clarify the current state of community revitalization activities by utilizing vacant houses and to propose effective means to increase the effectiveness of these activities. Although these activities have various influences on the region, have not yet had an impact on consciousness of residents. There is a possibility that increasing the interaction among residents raises their interest in community development. Utilization of vacant houses based on a thorough understanding the characteristics of areas and the needs of residents can contribute to the revitalization of the unique areas
