The tensile mechanical behaviour of carbon/carbon composites varies with temperature. This evolution was determined for 2.5 D C/C composites owing to tensiie tests up to 2500°C under inert atmosphere. To explain the observed tendencies, the tensile mechanical behaviour of the reinforced carbon fibre tows was evaluated at different temperatures up to 2000°C, then the C/C composite behaviour was analyzed at room temperature, and finally , the effect of temperature on the different mechanical, morphological characteristics, on damage and an acoustic emission was examined.
