The aim of this excursion is to show the Devonian and Carboniferous reefal development in the Cantabrian Mountains. For this purpose, several selected localities, mostly in reefal facies, will be visited. In spite of the abundance of coral and stromatoporoid faunas in the Devonian of the Cantabrian Zone, these faunas have been studied in detail only recenlly
