Ph.D.Through high-throughput microarray technologies, biologists can perform data-driven researches like genome-wide association study (GWAS) and examine millions of genomic variations over a large population in a reasonable time and cost. Although many disease-associated single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) have been discovered through traditional statistical tests, it has been shown that non-linear SNP-SNP interactions may also be associated with genetic diseases.
