A cerâmica wai wai: transformações e continuidades

This work presents some reflections on the transformations and technical continuities of the ceramic pottery of the Wai Wai ethnic group. The case study was carried out in the Mapuera village, located on the Mapuera River, a tributary of the right bank of the Trombetas River, in the municipality of Oriximiná (PA). Through surveying and recording, we will study the transformation over time, from the 1940s (20th century) to the present day, of how women from different groups, currently nicknamed Wai Wai, make pottery.Este trabalho apresenta algumas reflexões sobre as transformações e continuidades técnicas do modo de fazer cerâmica das oleiras da etnia Wai Wai. O estudo de caso foi feito na aldeia Mapuera, situada no Rio Mapuera, afluente da margem direita do Rio Trombetas, no município de Oriximiná (PA). Através do levantamento e registro, vamos estudar a transformação ao longo do tempo, dos anos 40 (século XX) até os dias atuais, de como as mulheres de diferentes grupos, atualmente alcunhados de Wai Wai, fazem a cerâmica
