A BOOKLET ABOUT KINDS OF SONGKET MOTIFS AS TRADITIONAL CLOTHES FROM PALEMBANG

This research aims because many people who do not know about the various motifs that exist in Songketfabric, therefore the writer took the initiative to make “A Booklet about Kinds of Songket Motifs as Traditional Clothes from Palembang” that contains a variety of motifs/patterns that usually decorate Songketfabric, it aims to provide knowledge about Indonesian culture, especially on typical Songketfabric South Sumatra itself. The research techniques for collecting the data were observation and interview. In this research, there were two one expert of language, and one expert of historical objects expert from Bala Putra Dewa Museum. The writer choose the saddle stitch as the binding method for this booklet. Base on the result of this research, A Booklet about Kinds of Songket Motifs as Traditional Clothes from Palembang was made through three steps. The conclusion were in make a booklet about kinds of Songketmotifs, there three steps which must be done, doing observation, writing draft, and doing testing as the final report
