Mujer… sé lo que eres

From the sexed nature of human beings, much has been said about the dominance of one sex over the other. Faced with this, the terms patriarchy and matriarchy arise not necessarily in that order, such as force, dominance or control over the other.The historical evidence recognizes the actions of women in public positions within prehistoric society to the point of using the term matriarchy, which fades in the Neolithic with the consolidation of sedentary life, and in the nascent social organization it is the male who exercises authority as head of the family, giving rise to the patriarchy.It is in the nineteenth century that the first feminist movements were born to later take up the debate on patriarchy whose theorization, from different perspectives, has given rise to different currents of feminism, each with a particular vision of female identity.Desde la naturaleza sexuada de los seres humanos se ha hablado mucho del dominio de un sexo sobre el otro. Frente a ello, surgen los términos “patriarcado” y “matriarcado” no necesariamente en ese orden, como fuerza, dominio o control sobre el otro. La evidencia histórica reconoce el actuar de la mujer con cargos públicos dentro de la sociedad prehistórica hasta utilizar el término matriarcado, el cual se va  desvaneciendo en el neolítico con la consolidación de la vida sedentaria, y en la naciente organización social es el varón quien ejerce la autoridad como jefe de familia, dando origen al “patriarcado”. Es en el siglo XIX que nacen los primeros movimientos feministas para posteriormente tomar el debate sobre el patriarcado cuya teorización, desde diferentes perspectivas, ha dado origen a diversas corrientes del feminismo cada una con una visión particular de la identidad femenina
