Oregon fourth in nation in challenges to books: One case involved book from Albany

The group People for the American Way reported the number of books and programs challenged in Oregon increased 77% over the previous year. In 15 of 23 cases, school officials retained the materials or programs; challenges were viewed as a healthy part of maintaining intellectual freedom
